Dr. David Burgess

David is a practicing Doctor of Chiropractic serving the greater Monrovia community since opening Midwest Chiropractic Center, LLC in 2001. In addition, he has been given the opportunity to share his knowledge and clinical experience with Health Science Students as an instructor of Advanced Human Physiology at Ivy Tech Community College since 2000, and Anatomy and Physiology at Indiana University Health Methodist since 1999. He has also taught Human Anatomy at Indiana University in Indianapolis.


Prior to graduating Logan College of Chiropractic in 1999, he successfully completed an Internship with the Multidisciplinary Spine Rehabilitation Center. The Center introduced him to the integration of manual therapy with drug therapy and surgical intervention. In addition, David had the fortunate experience of eight months of training serving the citizens of Saint Louis, Missouri at the Harbor Light Shelter. There he treated patients and was a guest Lecturer at the Department of Corrections. While attending Logan he developed a better understanding of Human Anatomy by becoming a Gross Anatomy Teaching Assistant giving prosections and working along side first year students in the cadaver lab for over two years.


David obtained his undergraduate prerequisites at Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis. While attending University he was given the chance to be a Pharmacy Technician for Indiana University Hospital exposing him to inpatient care for over two years. Upon completion of course work, he was accepted by Logan College where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Doctorate of Chiropractic.
